MALAYA / MALAYSIA - The Most Illustrious Order of the Star of Sarawak (Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak), 4th Class, Ahli Bintang Sarawak, A.B.S.

This full size Silver medal was instituted on 8 May 1970, by the government of Sarawak, Malaysia. It was awarded to citizens and foreigners for meritorious service or contribution to the government of Sarawak.

This 4th Class Order of the Star of Sarawak is designed as a 5-pointed white-enamel star (size 4.5 cm or slightly less than 2 inches width). It has a gold-plated Sarawak State Crest (which is a symbolic figure of a wing-spread Kenyalang or hornbill - the State bird - with a shield bearing the state flag on its chest) resting on red enamel. The state crest is surrounded by the old Sarawak State Slogan “HIDUP SELALU BERHIDMAT”.
