This is Klein's take on the classic early Fender Broadcaster bridge pickup. Features:

• A3 "Original Alloy Magnets". Klein destructively reversed-engineered Fender's original magnet recipe, and specially pours these only for its Broadcaster pup...just like Fender did back in the day.
• 43ga plain enamel wire. Again, Klein's wire has been engineered to the exact specs of orginal vintage-correct samples. Exact resistance, exact ID & OD, & color matching.
• Vintage correct, cold-rolled steel baseplate, 0.06" thick, zinc plated.
• Nitrocellulose lacquer potted just like Fender's original pups.
• Lastly, just as many early Broadcasters were wound pretty hot, I had this one custom wound to 10.15k. (Klein normally winds these to 8.6k.) So while it's great for rock and blues a la Bonamassa's famed Bludgeon guitar, with just a roll back on the guitar's volume, you get awesome 50s twang. No icepick highs, though - just high-end sparkle.

I waited a long while for delivery on this, as Klein's "custom" lead time is not short. So buying here saves you that, plus the back and forth hassle of email spec'ing with Klein (that alone took me a week.)

Pickup is lightly aged to look 50s authentic. But for the leads having been cut to size for installation (~7.75"), it's mint condition.
