This ornate Rococo ormolu mantle clock captures the romantic beauty of Louis XV style. The curves of the gilt metal (cast brass or bronze) are enhanced with the hand painted porcelain inset of a woman relaxing in nature.

The original clock parts inside have been replaced with a modern, battery-operated mechanism. Keeps time perfectly with no winding!

Possibly French, this was made in the late 19th century. The brass inside is stamped 683.

Dimensions are 15” high x 9” wide x 6 ¼” deep.

Minor wear and discoloration appropriate with age. Door on the back is dented.

This is a fantastic display piece and home décor accent. Looks like a treasured family heirloom.
