A Wileman (Shelley) "Daisy Border " 4170 Albert shape coffee cup & saucer C.1890.

Pattern No 4170 - Trailing turquoise daisy border. White ground. Gold trim. Entered into pattern book during or after 1890.  

The back stamp is the 1895-1910 green cartouche mark. 

The shape of this cup & saucer is the rarely seen Albert shape which was produced between 1886 & 1890.

Dimensions: diameter of cup base 39mm (1.5 inches) / diameter across top of cup 54mm (2.2 inches) / height of cup 56mm (2.25 inches) / diameter of saucer 116mm (4.5 inches).

Condition: Both pieces are in very good antique condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Paintwork and gilding is in good overall condition. Both pieces have a very good "ping" to them when lightly tapped.
