There is damage to both of the bookends on the same part showing as cracks in the wood (see close up photos).

There are some worn areas of vanish and some scratches in the wood on both bookends.

The back of each has nails it looks like 2 of the nails have been replaced with newer screws and these 2 are uncovered (see close-up photos).
