This pedal is part for part an exact replica off the Dallas Rangemaster (famously used by the likes of Rory Gallagher, Tony Iommi and Brian May) with an additional switch to allow 3 different boost options: Stock Rangemaster Treble Boost, Mid Range Boost and Full Range Boost.

The Dallas Rangemaster Treble Booster is a booster guitar pedal that especially 

emphasizes the upper mid and treble frequencies (coloring the signal).

The effect became popular because of its sweet coloration, 

slightly bending the signal and giving a soft compression when maxed out.
