This is a super quality MEGA SOLAR CERAMIC watch by JUNGHANS, a highly regarded German manufacturer that made a real name for themselves as an innovator and boundary breaker. Their radio controlled and solar watches have risen to great heights in the estimations of many watch enthusiasts and collectors. There’s an elegance and quality about them that feels unique to their brand and style. This one is in excellent cosmetic condition and is working after being put into the light for 48 hours. However, please note that it is currently set to European time, exactly (totally exactly!) 1 hour ahead of UK time AND the digital display is flashing. I’m afraid that I haven’t got the first clue as to how to set this watch and I don’t know if it will require a service or new battery to remedy the flashing digital display. It is sold for spares/repairs and on this basis with no returns please.  

 

It comes with the ORIGINAL STRAP and BUCKLE and BOX.   

 

The Dial

The dial is signed for JUNGHANS MEGA SOLAR at the top and shows the classic logo above. At the bottom it says GERMANY. The beautiful DEEP BURGUNDY backdrop is elegant and eye-catching. Although analogue in style, there is a DIGITAL aperture at the 6 position which functions among other things, as a second counter. When buttons are pressed, it displays different things such as the date which is set correctly. Please note again, as mentioned – the digital display is flashing.

 

 

The Case

The beautiful BLACK CERAMIC CASE is fully signed on the back. It is marked CERAMIC WATER RESISTANT, 018/1501 610 8432823 DBP 288 GH. There is a one pusher button on the right hand side and two on the left.

 

It measures :  39mms across

 

 

Strap

The strap is the original 19mm and has the original buckle attached.

 

 

Condition : cosmetics are excellent – the case, dial and crystal all look superb. The strap shows few signs of wear and has plenty of life left in it. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS.
