Absolutely beautiful 1920's Arranbee composite 12" Nancy complete with her wooden traveling trunk closet case.
For her nearly hundred years age the paintwork on this doll is in excellent condition, she still has the blush on her knees and elbows and her face paint is stunning. There is minor rubbing on the back of her hair the head seam is very slightly raised. There is some paint loss on the tips of her fingers and heels. One manufacturing paint bubble on her back.  There is a surface crack across her neck fold and a tiny one on the bottom of the head at the back. The Nancy doll has two small manufacturing holes at the top of each leg this is original as made and not a fault. Her stringing has become a little loose since I bought her but she she holds well with a stand (not included).
The trunk is made of wood and had a working clasp. It opens out on hinges to two sections, one for the doll and the other her wardrobe with clothes hangers and a pull out drawer with metal pull. The hangers are in reasonable condition for age but not all are perfect. The outer surface is a faux leather paper, it has some loss of paper on the corners,  fading and water marks, the handle has come off, however the  blue triangle inner Arranbee label is lovely and clear. Included in the wardrobe are the outfits that were with her when originally purchased:  a pair of floral oilskin dungarees (these have  gone quite crispy now through age) A beautiful vintage lemon dress with tiny buttons, a blue gingham shirt with one button a lovely pale blue intricately knitted cardigan (small hole in cuff) I have also given her a vintage pale pink onesie and matching dress that was found with another doll but fits her quite well.
She was bought at the world famous Brimfield antique show in America about twenty years ago but has never been displayed, her paint seems to have never faded and is a bright as the day she was made. The original owner clearly only played with her on special occasions as she has been very well looked after. I am moving to sunnier climes shortly and the humidity would damage my precious composite dolls. So I will be listing more as I have the heart to over the next coming months, this way they can find new homes with other collectors who will treasure them as much as I do.
I would prefer cash on collection but will post
