For sale is a really nice cup and saucer made by Derby during the Bloor period around 1830 . The cobalt blue with gold combination is always stunning and one of my favorite. Here each piece has a superb floral arrangement hand painted on white ground with the rest of the piece having that deep cobalt blue ground color and some nice gilding. Really a superb set! The set is in great condition with just a bit of wear to the gilding. Some stray blue paint spots to the bottom inside of the cup and some fine crazing to the white ground plus a small chip to the foot ring which does not affect the piece and is not obvious at all. The cup is 2.5 inches tall and 2. 5 inches in diameter. The saucer is just over 1 inch tall with a diameter of 5.875 inches. Both are marked underneath the base the red circular Bloor Derby mark with the crown in the center as shown. 19th century United Kingdom
