A beautiful Shelley Pattern No 12456 Vincent shape demitasse / coffee cup & saucer. C.1936.

Pattern No 12456: Yellow and orange flowers with green and brown leaves on a white ground. Amber edges and handle. Entered into pattern book during or after 1936. 

The back stamp is the 1925-1940 green cartouche mark. 

The shape of this cup & saucer is the Vincent shape which was produced between 1916 & 1940.

Dimensions: diameter of cup base 38mm (1.5 inches) / diameter across top of cup 63mm (2.5 inches) / height of cup 63mm (2.5 inches) / diameter of saucer 117mm (4.6 inches).

Condition: Both pieces are in excellent clean condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, scratching, rubbing or any signs of wear. All paintwork is in excellent order with no fading to the pattern. Both pieces have an excellent "ping" to them when lightly tapped.
