Well Built, not by me, from a 1955 plan, probably in 50s or early 60s
See header of plan in last picture... Plan NOT included. it is not mine, I lifted pic from an ebay listing.
Note. this was from the 1955 plan, Boat name CLIMAX not the 1965 plan bigger scale and boat name PLUCKY
ANYWAY
I bought this one on ebay 10yrs ago, and sailed it on the lake with the original Mighty Midget motor, which burnt itself out in the middle of the lake when weed got round prop. I fitted a modern motor, which worked quite well, but again burnt out, and I decided that was the end of sailing it so has been on display,
INCIDENTALLY it will NOT stay upright with the heavy superstructure fitted, (it may have, with 2 x 4.5 volt flat pack batteries as it is meant to have, but I doubt it,) grandson built a light replacement top out of cardboard,  (long gone now) which looked quite good, and I always intended to build another from balsa & cardboard, but again "Coulda Shoulda Woulda"
I have now added another modern motor which is installed and working, so you could test boat, without superstructure. if you wished. but YOU WILL NEED TO SUPPLY AND CONNECT BATTERIES AND SWITCH
I have also included a brand new MIGHTY MIDGET motor, which I sourced, on ebay, many yrs ago. should you want to put it back to original..

So all in all a nice thing, and if she doesn't sell I'll remake a light superstructure, and probably repaint, thereby loosing all that patina!!

**new motor I'm supplying has never had wires soldered to it, My advice is to just make a small plug of solder on the end of a supply wire and file it to "plug in" to motor, If you do solder, do it quickly!!

4.5 volt flatpack battery is VERY dead, only including for interest
