This cover was mailed from Flushing, Queens, New York to Chicago, Illinois franked by a one-cent George Washington issue of 1918, Scott 525. The stamp is tied to the envelope by a mute Flushing, NY double oval handstamp.

Used at the Printed Matter rate and likely containing a thick catalogue (which explains the distressed sides of the envelope), the front was printed with 'Full Postage Paid' to indicate to P.O. employees that contents were mailed at the 1c per 2-oz 3rd class rate.

The backflap is sealed and intact. No contents or backstamps.

The cover in the scan is the one you will receive. Light lines in images are SCANNER ARTIFACT!

Shipping always combined.

APS # 180251.
