From a Blackhawk Films catalog: “DOUBLE WHOOPEE released to the theatres by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer late in the spring of 1929 was one of the last silent comedies starring Laurel and Hardy. This comedy marked one of the early screen appearances of Jean Harlow, who the following year, was to be rocketed into stardom on the heels of her roie in Howard Hughes' HELL'S ANGELS.

Stan and Ollie as prospective hotel footman and doorman are mistaken for visiting royalty. The climax comes when Jean Harlow alights from a cab in front of the hotel - and footman Stan closes the cab door on the train of her gown.”

This is a Blackhawk Super 8mm film print. It is a former library print and from looking at the start of the reel it appears as if some of the opening credits are missing. The print is mounted on a plastic 400’ reel and stored in a Blackhawk box. Library markings on both.
