The EP-17 is a very good guitar with a unique sound. Three pickups offer great sonic possibilities. The EP-17 uses special bracing to achieve bright, crisp, light sound and excellent long-distance performance. The single coil is a trio. The pickup is rich and warm. Wide and harmonically complex midrange. Sweet high notes. At full volume, you get a tight low end with just a little growl. Ideal for playing jazz chords and flowing melodies.
The big difference between this guitar and almost all of his other 1960s Japanese guitars is that the neck is not a bolt-on neck. It features a full-depth hollow body design with set neck construction. It's rare for this type of Japanese guitar.
This is a guitar that I personally use and use for recording. I was playing this guitar yesterday and had no problems. There is no fuss about the tone and volume potentiometers. All three pickups work fine. The pickup switch works perfectly and there is no noise.

The neck is in good condition. I just put new strings (Elixir 10-46) on my guitar. With the strings removed, I checked to see if the frets were too high or uneven. There are no uneven frets or high frets. This guitar is over 50 years old (I think) so of course the frets are about 70% worn out.
Please note that the pickguard and potentiometer knob are not original. The guitar also has marks and some screw holes, which are shown in the photos. Please check the photos for the condition of the guitar.
