Presented is a fantastic vintage sterling silver bowl. This bowl was made by S. Kirk & Son and dates to the first quarter of the 1900s. The bowl is a made in a fluted form, standing on four ball form feet. The center of the bowl is lavishly decorated with hand chased fruit and flowers, all exquisitely detailed and well done, against a stippled background. This design was made in multiple sizes, and this is one of the larger if not the largest one, at about 9 1/2 inches in diameter.

This bowl is in excellent condition. The details of the decoration are exceptionally crisp and clean. There are no splits, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

The bowl is stamped on the exterior rim with the maker's mark for S. Kirk & Son as well as sterling, a product number 233, and “Hand Decorated.”

The bowl measures about 9 1/2 inches in diameter and stands about 2 1/2 inches tall at the rim.

This piece weighs 510 grams or 18 regular ounces. -jm
