A Lovely Looking Victorian Armchair
A really nice Example
A great shape and very comfortable to sit in
With a good height rounded back and nice arms which splay slightly outwards
It has a good sized seat with nicely shaped polished wooden apron edge to the front
Sat on really pretty carved turned front legs with brass fittings and castors
The back legs are slightly splayed , all with brass fittings and castors
I’m not sure if this is the original fabric but it is very nice in a patterned satin
It is slightly stained I’m placed so would benefit from a good clean ( see photos )
Overall a super looking chair that could fit in in a variety of different surroundings wether modern or traditional
Items to note
As with all items of age they can show signs of ware and use but can also have character that you will not always find in newer pieces
The timber is in good order but does have a few marks and blemishes of age and ware here and there ( see photos )
The front right leg has had an historic repair but it has been done well and is very solid
As mentioned above the fabric is a bit stained on the chair so it does require a clean ( see photos ) or could be a super project piece for recovering
Overall it is a super looking chair
Please have a good look at all the photographs to get a good idea etc
