In 1986, British speed and thrash metal pioneers Motörhead released their seventh studio album, and called it 'Orgasmatron'. That name came from a Woody Allen film ('Sleeper'), but the original name was 'Ridin With the Driver', a song on the album. It was produced by avant garde producer Bill Laswell, who has worked with artists like Herbie Hancock, Mick Jagger, Ginger Baker, Yoko Ono, Iggy Pop, The Ramones, and many more!

The album cover's artwork is Snaggletooth as a train, and it's actually really cool! Snag is their mascot, and he's appeared on several Motörhead album covers and on merchandise, in various forms. Lemmy and the others did not particularly care for Laswell's production...

This was released by GWR Records, in '86, when the album was originally released. It was recently reissued on pic disc, but this copy is the first press version from the mid 80s, and a UK import. It's also the first Motörhead album that featured TWO guitarists (Wizzö and Würzel). Both Lemmy and Würzel are gone now.

(RIP Lemmy and Würzel. Both of you were great musicians with an awesome style and attitude. Motörhead would have never been the same without you two. You are both missed!)

This copy has some light scratches on both sides. Motörhead's music tends to have that effect on people, so it must have been manhandled! This was bought at a garage sale, if I remember correctly. May have been hanging on a wall, and that would explain the marks. (Just letting you know in case you want to spin this thing.) Also keep in mind that most pic discs from the 70s and 80s sound bad, with lots of noise. This comes in a clear and generic PVC jacket. A sweet collectible from 80s Motöhead to have, as well as a great conversation piece. Bring home Lemmy and the guys, and show off Snag as a runaway train! Available now, and at a nice price.
