L-1049-G TWA SUPER CONSTELLATION L-1049 PLANE WOOD MODEL

TRANS WORLD AIRLINES TWA SUPER CONSTELLATION L-1049-G "SUPER G" Lockheed first production L-1049 was in 14 July 1951. L-049 was the first model of the Lockheed Constellation aircraft line. in 1946 it was replaced by an improved L-649 and L-749 constellation. The L-1049 started to flight with Eastern Air Lines in December 1951. The 1049's began flying for TWA in 1952. In 1955 TWA started using the 1049G in transatlantic flights 1049-G was produced from 1951 to 1958, only 259 were built. Lenght 11 inches wingspan 12 inches. This Model was built in Philippines in 2007. This model of TWA represent the Original livery used by the airline. Any serious collector should not miss the opportunity or any enthusiast of jet commercial airliners.
