I was surprised when I turned this over and discovered it was Life Like.  I don't have a problem with Life Like.  I have some engines from Life Like that I really like.  But I thought this was going to be something much higher end.  Then again, I'm still pretty new to model trains, and maybe I was just fooled by the sleek black color, nice paint, and like new condition.

In any case, I do think this engine looks like new, and I'd be prepared to believe it's sat on a shelf it's entire life.  I don't see any flaws to describe, but my eyes aren't very good, so please view the pictures, form your own opinion, and ask questions if you have them.

This engine runs very smoothly, although I was surprised that it was as slow as it was at full speed.  If you view the video, when it's on the straight away, that's full throttle (both forward and reverse).  It had what I thought was pretty impressive low speed performance, smoothly moving, well, very slowly.
