Exquisite c1920s Tiffany & Co Sterling Silver Oval Bread Dish Serving Tray Presented is a wonderful quality Tiffany & Co sterling silver oval tray or -jm
bread dish, dating to around the 1920s. The tray is beautifully decorated with
an acid-etched design around the rim, of rosettes, scrolls, and maybe stylized
olive leaves or similar, connected by a fine beaded border. This piece would be
great for a variety of serving purposes or as a dresser tray, ring/pin catcher,
etc.
marks to the center of the tray, but these could likely be polished out and are
already not very noticeable. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no
monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece is stamped with the Tiffany & Co maker's mark, sterling, and
the initial 'm' for the director of the company between 1907-1947, John C. Moore
II.
The tray measures about 13 1/2 x 7 inches, and about 1 1/4 inches high at the
highest point of the rim. The useable surface area measures about 9 x 5 1/2.
The tray weighs 553 grams or 19.5 regular ounces.
