1800 & 1802 Fine Pair English Georgian Sterling Silver Salt Cellars w/ Spoons

Presented is a great pair of English Georgian sterling silver open salt cellars, with spoons. The salts date to 1800 and 1802. The spoons are a marriage, dating to 1824, but the spoons match well in size and style. The salts are navette form, with a gold wash interior. The spoons are Fiddle pattern with an S monogram in ornate script on the terminal.

The salts and spoons are in great condition. The gold wash of the interior of one of the salts has some spotting. There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

One salt is hallmarked on the underside with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head crowned for the city of London, the date letter G for 1802, King George III's head duty mark, and the maker's mark for Robert & Daniel Hennell. The other salt is hallmarked with the lion passant, the leopard's head, E for1800, the duty mark, and the maker's mark for Robert, Daniel & Samuel Hennell. The spoons are hallmarked with the lion passant, the castles mark for Exeter, the date letter H for 1824, King William IV's head duty mark, and the maker's mark for William Woodman.

The salts measures about 4 inches long and stand about 2 1/2 inches tall. Each spoon is about 4 inches long.

The total weight for both salts and both spoons is 167.4 grams or 5.9 regular ounces.
