For sale is a pot with lid made by Ludwigsburg between 1765 and 1770 . The pot is marked with the CC mark under the crown in under glaze blue as well as an impressed number 6 and an old museum or collector's ID. The main body of the coffee pot is decorated with a large hand painted floral arrangement on either side as well as some scattered small flowers and a basket weave trim to the top. The nicely shaped feet, spout and handle have puce trim on them. The piece is of superb quality and this shape is my favorite by them. The lid has the some hand painted flowers on it as well and a nice lion shaped finial. The pot with lid is 8.5 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. The main body is in perfect condition but the lid has been perfectly and extensively repaired and I am not 100% that it is the original lid but the fit is perfect so it might be. It is definitely by Ludwigsburg and of the period! The piece displays perfectly! 18th century German Germany Kaffee
