Tough Cameo Obverse Contrast, Unlisted Mint Error!

1950 Proof Jefferson Nickel

Reverse Struck Through Thread (not on slab)

NGC PF67* (NGC STAR)

Gorgeous, watery mirrors and a fully Cameo obverse account for the NGC STAR designation. The pearly white surfaces are awash in golden orange overtones, especially on the reverse. Struck through a piece of thread, a squiggly depression connects the dome with the M in UNUM. It is noticeable enough to justify a Mint Error label, but the original submitter apparently didn't want to pay the extra money.

NGC price guide is $100 in PF67 and $475 in 67CAM. This one falls in between, and the Mint Error should also add value.
