For sale is a superb figure of a fancy 18th century rich lady hair dresser scene made by Nymphenburg in 1923 after a Frankenthal original hence the CT under a crown mark and the impressed shield mark used by Nymphenburg. Likely meant to be a depiction of the royal court hair dresser doing the hair of some important lady while another servant stands near by. The lady is sitting in a chair with her dog by her side, a table in front of her includes a mirror on top and some other items, a small bench behind her with a pot of coals (it looks like) and the hair dresser is standing on a ladder to be able to do the tall pointy hairstyle of the lady. Another table with a hat on it in the back with a little bag on the nicely modeled base. Really one of my favorite blanc de chine pieces they made. The figurine is 9.625 inches tall, 7.875 inches wide and 6.75 inches deep. Marked underneath as shown with the impressed shield mark and incised numbers 3 as well as incised number /2 as shown and an impressed number which is hard to see because of a firing flaw which also hides part of the shield mark and incised number /2. Another impressed shield mark to the front of the base to the right side of the scroll end. And as states before it also has the Frankenthal CT under a crown mark in blue with the year mark for 1923 so it is now officially a true antique :) The figurine is in good condition and displays superbly but the tool in the coal bucket is missing the top I think and the hairdresser on the ladder is missing the bottom of his right leg.
