Presented is a hand engraved pair of American coin silver sugar tongs made during the late 18th or early 19th century. The sides are engraved with pretty designs and the top has a W monogram. This piece was made between 1785 and 1800.
The tongs are guaranteed to be coin silver, .900 silver purity.
The tongs are in excellent condition considering their age. There are no dents, no breaks and no repairs.
The tongs measure 5 5 /8 inches long and weigh 34 grams.
