Presented is a fine set of four silver plated baskets with clear glass liners. These are German pieces, made by Wurttembergishce Metallwarrenfabrik and dating to the early 1900s. The baskets are done in a lovely classical design, with swags, floral decorations, and masks at either end. Each basket has a swing handle, with fine decoration and texturing. Each basket sits on four acorn form feet, with palm designs where the feet join the legs. This is a wonderful set of four baskets, great for serving or display.

The baskets are all in great condition. The silver plating is in great shape, with wearthrough. The handles are sturdy and well attached, with tight enough hinges that they stay in whatever position you put them. The glass liners have no chips, no cracks, and no discolorations. The silver plated portions have no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

Each piece is stamped on the underside of one foot with the maker's mark for Wurttembergishce Metallwarrenfabrik of Geislingen, Germany. The mark as it appears here, with the hatched arch behind the rhombus, was in use circa 1909-1914.

Each piece measures about 6 1/2 by 4 by 7 5/8 inches, LxWxH, with the handles up.
