Antique Sterling Silver Model Sailing Ship Boat w/ Moving Rudder Anchor

Presented is a fabulous sterling silver model sailing ship. This piece likely dates to the first half of the 1900s, and is likely American or European, but we aren't sure. The ship is very well made, with fine silver wire ropework for the rigging and an articulated rudder that really moves. The anchor at the front is attached with a chain, and the rudder is controlled by chain 'reins' as well. The ship comes with its own silver stand.

This piece is in great condition. There is minor denting to the rudder, but this is hardly noticeable. There are no breaks, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

The ship has no hallmarks or stamps that we can find, but we have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be sterling (925) purity silver.

The figure stands about 6 1/8 inches tall and measures about 7 1/2 inches from the back of the rudder to the front of the ship.

The ship and stand together weigh 198 grams or 7.0 regular ounces.
