Presented is a very rare set of 6 Royal Oak Pattern sterling silver dessert or ice cream spoons by Gorham. The interior of the bowls and decorations on the backs of the bowls have a nice gold wash. All the spoons are marked on the underside of the handle with the the patent year of 1902. These spoons were likely made within 5-6 years of the patent date, or between 1902-1908. Each spoon is monogrammed with the letter M on the front in old English or Gothic script. This is an extremely hard to find set, very heavy and of fabulous quality.

The spoons are marked on the underside of the handles with Sterling for sterling silver, the Gorham marks and PAT. 1902 for the patent year.

The condition is excellent. The gold wash is in great shape, and there is very minimal wear to the gold wash. All of the detail is crisp, like the day it was made. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.

The spoons measure approximately 5 3/4 inches long.

The spoons weigh 7.23 ounces or 205.2 grams.
