Presented is an excellent antique sterling silver centerpiece bowl with silverplate flower frog, by International. This piece dates to the first quarter of the 1900s and is made in the elegant Orange Blossom pattern. The bowl is made in a classical form, with a wide overhanging lip and removable double tiered flower frog insert. The rim is beautifully hand chased with floral garlands, foliate scrolls, and bouquets on pedestals, which when viewed overall form a repeating design of fleurs de lis. The edge of the rim is likewise chased with flowers and wide leafy scrolls, against a stippled background. The flower frog is very ornate, with intricate interwoven scrollwork and floral decoration incorporated into the openwork that will hold long stemmed floral arrangements very securely. A very impressive piece for any table setting.

This piece is in excellent condition. There are a couple of tiny dings to the interior of the basin, but these are very minor and will never be seen while the bowl is in use. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

This piece is stamped with the maker's mark for International as well as sterling and V75 on the underside.

The bowl measures about 13 3/4 inches in diameter and stands about 5 1/4 inches tall at the highest point.

The weight for just the sterling silver bowl is 938 grams or 33.1 regular ounces. The total weight, including the silverplate flower frog, is 1334 grams.
