1960s Coral Firefly 12 String guitar NECK by Danelectro . Mahogany Rosewood

Howdy. Up for sale is a nice Coral Firefly 12 string neck that is old stock.

This neck is from the old Danelectro/Coral parts stash that was stored in New Jersey . Danelectro went out of business in 1969. All the leftover guitars and parts were stored for sometime until they were bought up. I remember meeting some guys that bought this stuff back in the 1980's.

This Coral Firefly neck is from that stash. It came from a completed guitar that was disassembled or it  was finished but never assembled as a whole guitar. So the neck wasn't used.

These necks are mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard. The fingerboard looks like Brazilian rosewood which was commonly used in the late 60s. The headstocks are grafted on. The headstock almost looks like Brazilian rosewood. The neck is completed and has a lacquer finish. These necks use two rectangular sectioned long/thin bars that keep the neck straight, They add a little weight though.

So the neck is straight, it doesn't have cracks or twists and the frets and fingerboard are not worn. There are a good number of dings which are probably from 4-5 decades of storage.

The spot on the fingerboard at the 1st fret is from a piece of tape. It will easily clean off. I have not clean the neck or frets yet.

Sold as-is no returns. Shipping is $30 US and $110 to many countries.
