Unit is in excellent cosmetic and functional condition. Refer to pictures. Comes with original power supply. Used only in my smoke free studio.

IntroductionThe Symetrix Model 201 EQ/Preamp provides studio qualityequalization and notch filtering for line level balanced orunbalanced signals, as well as for low level unbalanced signals.Three fully parametric bands of equalization are provided, with+15dB boost and -30dB cut capability, allowing the SX201 to beused for both creative and corrective equalization. Overlappingfrequency controls cover the audio range, from 16Hz to 20kHz.Bandwidth is continuously variable from .05 octaves (for deepnotch filtering), to 3.3 octaves (for smooth tone shaping). With its separate line and preamp inputs, the SX201 will handlenearly any signal level. The line level input provides bothbalanced or unbalanced terminations, while the preamp input isunbalanced. The line level input is intended for use with signalsthat have already passed through a preamplifier. The preampinput provides 30dB gain, and is intended for use with low levelsignals such as those from synthesizers, guitars, bass guitars, orelectronic drums. The overall input level control allows theoperator to set internal signal levels to match boost/cutconditions.Parametric equalizers are so named because their operatingparameters (characteristics) are variable. The SX201 is describedas fully parametric because the center frequency, the bandwidth, and the amount of boost or cut, are all user adjustable

1. Center frequency is defined as the frequency, measured inHertz (Hz), that is at the center of the range of frequenciescontrolled by the equalizer.

2. Bandwidth is defined as the range of frequencies, measured inoctaves or fractions of octaves, that are controlled by theequalizer.

3. Boost or cut is defined as the amount of increase or decrease, measured in decibels (dB), that the equalizer provides at the center frequency.
