RARE 1985 Super Mario Bros. Instruction Booklet MANUAL from early Nintendo Black Box game. This is a very early print version, noted by the lack of a 'TM' printed after Nintendo Entertainment System at the top of Page 2 inside, see photos. The earliest first version of this manual also had no year at the bottom of Page 2, this second print version added the year (1985) at the bottom of page 2 but still did not have a TM after Nintendo Entertainment System at the top of page 2.
Likely from late 1985 or early 1986, possibly from the second version gloss sticker seal black box variant of this game. There is a TM after Super Mario Bros. on Page 2 at the top, but no TM after Nintendo Entertainment System. All later much more commonly found print versions of this manual have a TM added in after Nintendo Entertainment System at the top of page 2, but the added TM is a much smaller font than the other TM after Super Mario Bros., so that it would fit in between the existing words without needing to change the existing printing. There is no definitive guide to which manuals came with which boxes, and there are no others like this currently listed to compare.
Complete an early variant of a boxed Super Mario Bros. game, or just have as a unique early Nintendo NES item to collect and display! Manual is clean and nice, has typical handling marks, no writing or markings inside, original staple intact but is rusted as shown, all pages securely attached.
