This is a True Genuine Vintage 5 Hour DUNCAN-MILLER Parking Meter.  The Old Housing is from the 60s. The newer Digital Readout Clock is a Duncan Eagle CK.  Old Meets New in this case. A Real Rugged Piece of Roadside Americana.  Comes to us from Marcus Hook PA. The outrageously cheap rate of 50 cents for 5 HOURS is what I believe is the Municipal Employee rate. At the time we picked these up (pre covid), it was noticed all parking spots outside the municipal building were metered. No sense hammering your employees big money just to park there I suppose. Not quite sure what they did during after covid when you probably could not get any one to show up if there was free parking!   

We know a lot about the parking meters we sell because we actually spend the time and effort to travel far away to physically get them.  This unit only takes Quarter. One Slotted. Maximum Time is 5 Hours. Coins just drop in, no twist and turn. LED Eagle Unit inside is run by a 9 Volt Battery. I have tested it to be working well. You will notice a red seal inside the unit. It is a sticker from the Pennsylvania State's Weights & Measures Office. The '60s housing is Rare mainly due to the fact that the case is aluminum. As such, Municipalities scrapped these units by the thousands when aluminum went up in value. A True Survivor. Very Cool Unit. We are nearing the end of the 186 units that were purchased from Marcus Hook. A Nice Collectible.  Both Locks are intact. This will arrive to you with the bottom portion open. The old tin hobo coin cup is still inside. You can use one of our reasonably priced shim kits to fasten this unit on any 2" inside diameter pipe. There are no keys included. This is a heavy unit that weighs 16 lbs unpacked.  A Real Cool piece for those that like an old housing retrofitted with the newer LED Readout. Times like a clock. Built to withstand heavy punishment and inclimate weather. Offered at a bargain Price. This is fresh to the market having not been drug around from car show to car show.  An Awesome piece of rough and tough Roadside Transportation Memorabilia.  Perfect for those that collect Parking Meters or Retro-refurbish such items into banks, lamps, and so on.
