ERA: True vintage item from the late 1920s to early 1930s

MEASUREMENTS: the item is 55 inches long, it will fit a 33 inch bust with room,28  inch waist, 38 inches around hips. 

MATERIAL: silk creped chiffon

LABEL: none

Sheer creped silk chiffon skirt in white and blue leaves, the skirt is unlined. The top of the dress is sleeveless pale blue sheer silk, topped with attached shawl. The shawl is super light blue with the darker blue and white print appliqued around the lower half of it. The bottom edge of the print is cut with the pattern and embroidered around those bottom edge. There are snaps on the side opening. Light color chiffon band around the waist and a loop of fabric on the side. Dress is unlined. 

CONDITION: Fair condition with damage. Basically the light color silk is no good and needs to be replace. 

The sheer tank top under the shawl collar is yellowed and discolored from perspiration under the arms, across the front and across the back. The shawl collar also has yellow staining on the front and the back. 

The sheer undershirt of the tank top is also split and shattering on the side above the side opening. There is a tear on the front of the neck under the shawl collar and tears on the other should. 

Again, the light color fabric has holes and tears on the upper part of the shawl collar. The blue and white print on the shawl collar also has several holes, up to 1 inch in size.

The skirt of the dress (dark blue print) is in much better condition, just a few small holes under 1/8 inch. No tears or shattering. 

The lighter color silk cannot be repaired because it is too delicate and tears easily. The dark blue silk is in better condition. You can save the dark blue print on the shawl collar and make a new tank top and shawl collar for the skirt.
