1927 Classic Gorham Sterling Silver Old Colony Double Handle Bowl

Presented is a lovely sterling silver bowl. This bowl was made by Gorham and is dated 1927. The bowl is made in the “Old Colony” pattern. This is a handsome classical pattern, emulating the work of early Boston silversmiths like John Coney. The bowl has a Chippendale style rim and stands on a low pedestal foot. There are two round hanging handles, extending from the sides. Great for use as a small punch bowl, fruit bowl, or however else you might like.

This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

This piece is stamped with the Gorham maker's mark as well as sterling, the date mark of an airplane for 1927, and the name of the pattern, Old Colony.

The bowl measures about 9 ½ inches from handle to handle and stands about 3 5/8 inches tall.

The bowl weighs 814 grams or 28.7 regular ounces.
