Presented is an antique American coin silver server made during the mid 1800s. We believe the G. Brown maker’s mark on the back to possibly be for George Brown of New Orleans. We do not know who the exact maker is, but certainly George Brown of New Orleans is a very good possibility. The bowl is pretty large and is in a scalloped form. Both sides of the handle are decorated with classical leaf decorations.

The back is marked G. Brown. This piece is guaranteed to be coin silver or 900 silver purity.

This piece is in excellent overall condition. A monogram has been professionally removed from the front. The removal was well done and it is not very noticeable. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, and no repairs.

The server measures 8 3/4 inches long and weighs 60.9 grams or 2.1 ounces.
