Presented is a fabulous Swedish silver 100 piece flatware set. This set is done in the stylish Uppsala pattern, designed by Eric Lofman for MGAB. This is an attractive Mid Century pattern with a simple but elegant beaded design at the midpoint of the handles. The set serves 12, with a substantial variety of types of utensil for any type of place setting you might choose. The dinner and butter knives have sterling silver handles and stainless steel blades in the New French style. The spreaders have wider, more paddle shaped blades, likewise in stainless steel.

This set includes:

This set is in excellent overall condition. One of the smallest size spoons looks like it has encountered a garbage disposal but has been polished smooth, though some dents and abrasions remain. There are no other damages, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.

We are including with the set a fitted storage chest, as seen in the photos. The chest is wood in a rich dark walnut finish, with a velvet lined interior.

Each piece is stamped with the maker's mark MGAB as well as 830 for the purity of the silver, the Swedish triple crown and S hallmark, the date mark, and the city mark L for Lidkoping. The dates vary, from L9 for 1961, M9 for 1962, N9 for 1963, and L10 for 1985. The majority of the pieces are in the 1961-1963 range, only the gravy/sauce ladle is dated 1985.

The total weight for the set, not including the knives due to their stainless blades, is 2195 grams or 77.4 regular ounces.
