Presented is a gorgeous English silverplate biscuit jar from the turn of the
century. This piece displays fancy hand engraved scrolls and flowers around the
whole piece. The container has a lockable latch on the front and a handle on the
top. The lid opens on a hinge.
The underside is marked EP for silverplate and with a maker's mark we were
unable to identify.
This piece is in great overall condition. There is a small repair to the
hinge; a small piece of metal has been added to the top, which can be seen in the third photo. We didn't see any
places where the silver is worn. There are no monograms and no monogram
removals. There are no dents, and other breaks or repairs.
Measurements: 51/2 inches in diameter and 5 1/4 inches tall
