Green light comes on when plugged in but does not power on. Internally inspected and could not see any fault. Hard drive has been removed.

Instinct tells me it just needs a new battery as thats what is the issue with 9/10 MacBooks I come across with problems but as I don't have a spare for this model I can't promise that so the fault is unknown until confirmed.
