92nd FOOT OFFICER 1846
HIGHLAND INFANTRY REGIMENT
APPROX 9" TALL.

This scarce Kammer military officer figurine is one of FOUR I offer this week.

Porcelain statuette of a Scottish officer of the Highland 92nd Foot Infantry Regiment. it was produced at the porcelain manufactory of R. Kammer (Rudolstadt, Germany). The brand has been in use since 1953.

The figure is painted with polychrome enamels. Inscription on the base: 92nd THE FOOT OFFICER

History: The 92nd (Gordon Highlanders) Regiment of Foot was a British Army infantry regiment, raised in 1794. Under the Childers Reforms it amalgamated with the 75th (Stirlingshire) Regiment of Foot to form the Gordon Highlanders in 1881.

This high quality figure is finely painted in polychrome enamels, and shows the superb uniform dress of that era.

Please see my other scarce R. Kammer officer figurines.
