For your consideration is a magnificent vintage Coro Duette! Also called a "Separable" Brooch, this splendid Duette is part of the "Quivering Camellia" set designed by Gene Verri and patented in 1938. It features two lovely dress or fur clips with pretty trembling centers in the flowers that can be worn as one large brooch when placed into the Duette frame. The trembler flower centers are crystal baguettes. The outer cup (petals) are gold tone with blue and greenish enamel with tiny crystal stones. The silver tone leaves are also a blue enamel, covered with more tiny crystal rhinestones. Lastly the silver tone flower stems are set with blueish to clear looking baguettes. The silver tone frame is stamped Coro Duette and the patent number 1798867. The fur clips are stamped with the patent number 110296. All of the stones are present but some have darkened or changed color due to age. I have not cleaned or polished the pieces in order to retain the vintage integrity.
