This is an early recording by the Vienna Quartet, a group made up from Instrumentalists from the leading Vienna Institutions

he Vienna Instrumental Quartet  in composed of four artists who, after careful study in celbrated European institutions devoted themselves to an art which in adequate interpretation equals the importance and significance of what is generelly indicated asclassic art. The leader, Ludwig Schönberger native of 
Vienna, is the late leader of the Imperial Burg-Theater of that city, and the favorite pupil of Joachim. Licco I. Liddy, the "youthful master," and Otto Krist, violincello virtuso, are also natives of Vienna and graduates of the Conservatory. Jacques Grünberg is a well-known European pianists whose concert tours throughout the continent and this country have been signally sucessful.
