A GREAT COPY

Mr F C Barker official Harpist to Queen Victoria
An old article it describes F  C Barker as "wonderful boy harpist, Master F. C. Barker" So perhaps he was known as a harpist from a young age.

Gilbert Barton
Real Name: Gilbert S. Barton
Profile:
English classical flutist. Born in 1876.
Former member of the London Symphony Orchestra (1928-1939), and Principal Flute with The New Symphony Orchestra Of London.

Stroud Haxton
Real Name: Alfred Stroud Haxton
Profile:
Violinist, born 1884 in London, died 1931, Roehampton, Surrey.

Alfred Stroud Haxton (born London, 6 January 1884, died Surrey, 20 May 1931) was a popular violinist who made a number of recordings.

He seems not to have been intended for a career in music: the 1901 census showed his occupation as 'general clerk,' but by 1911 he was described as 'violinist.' In around 1913, he formed a dance orchestra at the 400 Club in Old Bond Street, and it was there that he gave Jack Hylton his first break. (Hylton played the piano while Haxton's band took time out.) He spent several years during the teens in America, and while there became President of the Trego Motors Corporation, which manufactured engines - a curious role for a musician!

A Quick NOTE ON GRADING AND SHIPPING:

As you can see from my feedback, I try hard to earn your POSITIVE FEEDBACK and FIVE STAR RATINGS.

If for any reason your transaction was NOT SATISFACTORY, pls contact me and I will work something out with you. YOU WILL NEVER HAVE A REASON TO GIVE ME A NEGATIVE RATING or a LOW STAR RATING.

Quick note on grading:

The Grade (Excellent to Poor, I don't give Mint) refers to the WEAR of the record. Any other defects are stated separately

When I listen to a record, I may also give it an aural grade (again E to P), and make a SUBJECTIVE judgment of the pressing quality for hiss and surface noise.
"EXCEPTIONALLY QUIET" is close to noiseless, like a vinyl pressing.
"VERY QUIET" is an above average quiet record for a given pressing.
"Quiet" is a record that is a great example with some noise.

These judgments are SUBJECTIVE and will depend one the styli, phonograph etc. you use on your own equipment.
