  • Beschreibung: Das kunsthistorische Werk offenbart eine detailreiche Radierung, die eine idyllische Szenerie abbildet. Im Vordergrund erkennt man eine gestaltete Landschaft mit Figuren in zeitgenössischer Kleidung, die einem Weg folgen, welcher zu einem Gebäude mit Bögen und Ziegeldach führt. Im Mittelgrund dominiert eine Ruine mit gotischen Fensterbögen und teilerhaltenen Mauern, eingebettet in eine üppige Vegetation. Der Hintergrund zeichnet sich durch einen angedeuteten Horizont und weitere Architekturelemente aus.

  • Zustand: Guter Zustand. Das Blatt ist altersbedingt geringfügig verfärbt und blass stockfleckig. Mittig schwach wellig. Entlang der Kanten unbeschnitten und teils schwach bestoßen. Entlang der rechten Blattkante stärkere Stoßspur. Auf dem Blattrand unten rechts lange druckbedingte Quetschfalte und kleine diagonale Faltung. Oben links diagonale Knickspur. Entlang der linken Blattkante einzelne Einstiche einer früheren Bindung.

  • Description: The art-historical work reveals a detailed etching depicting an idyllic scene. In the foreground, we recognise a designed landscape with figures in period clothing following a path leading to a building with arches and a tiled roof. The middle ground is dominated by a ruin with Gothic window arches and partially preserved walls, embedded in lush vegetation. The background is characterised by an implied horizon and other architectural elements.

  • Condition: Good condition. The sheet is slightly discoloured and pale foxing due to its age. Slightly wavy in the centre. Untrimmed along the edges and faintly bumped in places. Heavier bump along the right edge of the sheet. Long printer's crease and small diagonal fold in the lower right margin. Upper left diagonal crease. Single punctures from an earlier binding along the left edge of the sheet.
