solid clear through and not hollow .  The band at the top of it is labeled Sterling as you can see .  The pattern embossed into it is intricate .  

Nothing on this piece is loose or has any give to it .  It's tight and well make . Heavy .   Must have been a high-fi ice pick in it's day .  It came with other ice- items so I'm including this original sign telling the ice-man how much to deliver .
