Estate sale find, vintage original Burlesque Striptease Film Program Moulin Rouge Theater Oakland CA, circa 1950s.

Ding Dong A Night in the Moulin Rouge showcases several leading practitioners of the art of the ecdysiast who show off their talents in this vintage burlesque feature. 

Shot at the Moulin Rouge Theater in Oakland, CA, Ding-Dong: A Night in the Moulin Rouge features striptease routines from such famed peelers as Illona ("the Bavarian Orchid"), Iva Pratt (a hillbilly-style dancer), Pat Flannery, Doreen, and Jennie Lee. 

Also included are a number of comedy sketches poking fun at baseball, cocktail parties, and unionization (among other things) starring Little Jack Little, George "Beetlepuss" Lewis, and Charlie Crafts. 

Ding-Dong also features several musical numbers, with some of the members also revealing their musical talents.

The Moulin Rouge Theatre was originally opened as the Gem Theatre in 1908 at 485-487 - 8th Street. In 1932 it was remodeled and reopened as the Moulin Rouge.

It had a neon sign with a red windmill ('Moulin Rouge') where the blades turned. By the 1940s the theater was already showing risque films, such as Highway Hell, as well as doing stage shows.  Later it became an adult theatre and operated into the 1970s.

The item measures approximately 8.25" X  11", 19 pages, approximate shipping weight 5 ounces.
