These boots are a variation of the original 968s and have several key differences. As opposed to the original style, these 968-1s were exclusively made to order and have since become more rare and in demand. The “Black Boomer” leather of the boots is darker and more firm than the “Black Long Haul” leather on the original 968s, and its edges are undyed. Most notably, this style differs from the original by being made without the Red Wing Shoes shaft hardware.

These boots run true to size. I normally wear US 10.5D boots, and 10.5D 968s fit quite well.

These 10.5EE 968s should fit someone who normally wears US 10.5E2 boots, and possibly someone who normally wears 10.5D, or 10EE, boots after replacing the given footbeds with a thicker alternative.
