This antique 4 Well oyster plate is a true gem for collectors. Although , unmarked it was made by Haviland of France for Boteler in Washington DC in 1876. Patented by Boteler June 16, 1874, it features a beautiful brilliant white oyster shell pattern on a yellow porcelain background, outlined with gilded lines. The odd oval shape and Victorian style add to its charm, while the handmade aspect makes it a unique piece.
