This fantastic old gramophone record storage cabinet is badged as "The H H Record Cabinet" and despite research I cannot find mention of another.

Its a well made item with an ebonised wooden case containing a series of pull out sections each designed to hold a record of up to 12 inch diameter, these are numbered by the even numbers 2-50, so it contains 25 records. (I presume this numbering is because each disc has 2 sides, 50 in total, so you can write the contents of each side on an index card).

It was also designed so that more than one can be stacked on top of each other as the 4 feet on the bottom correspond with matching depressions in the top, clever stuff.

It also comes with a full quota of 78 rpm shellac records, with subject matter ranging from Gilbert & Sullivan to humorous monologues by Stanley Holloway and those I've checked look to be in fair condition.

Please note that as shellacs are notoriously fragile they will be included free of charge just in case any do get damaged in transit.

Condition wise its solid but its got a few scratches and there is a split to one side so please study the photos.

So all in all a rare curio that has got to be a must have for the gramophone enthusiast.

The cabinet and contents are very heavy at around 18 kg and will require very careful packing so this will be reflected in the p&p with Royal Mail/ Parcelforce.
