Beautful example of a vintage Aluminium 1950's Mesh cross body bag.

Brief History:

Mesh bags were hugely popular with flappers in the 1920s and made a comeback in the 1950s with stars such as Ingrid Bergman seen using them in their movies. Different companies such as American company Whiting and Davis were producing the mesh bags at this time in all different styles and designs

Mesh bags are slinky to touch and beautifully made, however they're deceptively tough due to being made similarly to the mesh found on a suit of armour.

This vintage chainmail bag is in fabulous condition for its age.

It comes with a zipped pocket on the inside to keep smaller items safe and a larger zip closing to the top to keep it secure.
